Ruobing competed in the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, OH. As a result of his hard work, he received first in Level 11 Concerto and the Grand Prize for Levels 9-12. Also, he played Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 Op. 26 with Cincinnati's World Festival Orchestra as a gift from the WPC organization. In April, Ruobing attended his Chinese School's debate contest and took the special award: Best Debater.

In April of 2012, he received 1st in the vocal division of the US Youth Talent and Art Competitions and Grand Prize for the whole competition. This February, Ruobing competed in the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey and received second overall. Last year in August, Ruobing was granted one of the special awards that stated Best Performance in the New York Talent Contest. Also last year, at the International Kung Fu Competition, Ruobing won first in the nine section whip weapon division.

In the summer of 2010, Ruobing proved to us again that he has talent by winning the second place of NJ Freehold Idol. At the World Piano Competition in June of 2010, he got third in Level 10 Solo. In May 2010, Ruobing received gold in the spear division at the International Kung Fu Competition in NJ. Ruobing took 4th place in the 2009 International Young Artist Piano Competition in Washington, DC. Ruobing also performed at the Philadelphia Music Teachers Spring Festival and was awarded High Honor in 2008. Brought to our attention as boy soprano soloist for the Philadelphia Orchestra’s concert “Jurowski Conducts Mahler” in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center of Philadelphia in March 2009, Ruobing Zhang is growing a significant loyal fan base that simply cannot wait for his debut album. His powerful voice is unique and unexpected, and his piano playing is an extension of his soul. He has a charismatic aura about him and sings with deep soulfulness. As a soloist with the Philadelphia Boys Choir, Ruobing has performed concerts at the Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, The Academy of Music, Drexel's Auditorium, US State of Department and Irvine Auditorium and also appeared on FOX, NBC, CBS and ABC.
